Eric Cleland leads Canada’s largest invasive phragmites control program in partnership with provincial and federal governments, with a focus on restoring coastal wetland habitats impacted by phragmites in the Long Point region, Ontario. Eric spent 13 years with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in several roles before joining NCC four years ago. He lives in the Long Point region with his two children and enjoys seeing the restoration of biodiversity in these important areas.
