About Us
Africa Climate and Environment Foundation (ACEF) is an International non-profit organization that was founded on March 31st, 2021 with headquarters in Limbe- Cameroon. It is the brainchild of Eng. Enow Tambe Honourine. This youth-led organization was founded in order to mobilize and empower grassroots African youth to take action for the climate, environment, and sustainable development, that would help bridge the hunger and poverty gap, mitigate climate change, build the resilience of grassroots communities, protect the environment, promote peace, and conserve natural resources across Africa
ACEF is typically a youth-driven organization and its spread across Africa has proven its acceptance by passionate and enlightened African youths who are bent in their irrevocable task of changing the narrative in the African continent. It's time to stop talking the talk... It's time to take action.
With less than two years of existence, ACEF already has members across 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and it has been accredited by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC).
While most youth-led organizations around the world are focused on advocacy, ACEF is focused on both advocacy and implementation action in grassroots communities. This is the first time African youth from different professional and educational backgrounds voluntarily converged to address issues relating to climate change environmental degradation, and the 17 SDGs, with a focus on environmentally sound technology implementation. ACEF is the one umbrella under which these youths seek to address the key issues keeping Africa in a situation of 'life-support'.

The purposes of this organization shall be:
1. To promote economic empowerment and ensure meaningful participation of the community in poverty reduction.
2. To provide education and training in matters of sustainable development and climate change through networking and collaboration with other organizations.
3. To promote effective solid waste management through proper dumping and sorting of wastes
4. To empower Community and Individual action on matters related water to and sanitation.
5. To come up with innovations that are geared towards the elimination of processes and activities that are likely to endanger the environment, and to utilize the environment and natural resources for the benefit of the community- for example, coming up with alternative forms of energy.
6. To campaign against traditions that hinder sustainable development and fight against climate change
7. To safeguard environmental protection rights
