Get your team involved with NCC
It takes teamwork to care for Canada’s natural places. From our protected forests, to our grasslands, wetlands and coastlines, thousands of Canadians team up with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) every year to contribute to conservation across the country. Join the fun with our customized corporate volunteer events designed to engage your employees in conservation. Whether it's a day trip to a nature reserve or an in-office workshop, you will experience a unique opportunity to give back to nature as a team!
Volunteer in nature, for nature
Want to spend time in nature and contribute to priority conservation goals?
Spend a hands-on day in nature with NCC, as your team works to protect and care for some of Canada’s most unique habitats. These exciting team-building opportunities are one-day events that take you out of the office to an NCC property. Your team will learn about local habitat, rare species and NCC's conservation initiatives, all while contributing directly to conserving Canada's natural heritage.
Event includes:
- Hands-on volunteer experiences on an ecologically significant property;
- Trained first aid safety supervisors;
- All safety planning and personal protective equipment provided;
- Event tools and materials;
- A guided tour of the natural area;
- Information on how your employees can engage further with NCC;
- Digital photo scrapbook (issued after event).
Add-ons, for additional fee:
- Lunch for all participants;
- On-site washroom facilities;
- Transportation to and from the site.
Bring nature to your office
Can’t get out to the field with your team? Don’t worry, NCC will come to you! We will lead your team in an educational workshop consisting of a presentation and hands-on activity. Workshops can be designed to take one to two hours, which fits great over a lunch hour. Your team will learn about the role of hands-on stewardship on natural landscapes and the contribution your team is making to nature.
Event includes:
- Educational presentation led by NCC staff;
- Hands-on activity, such as building bee homes, bird boxes or bat boxes, which benefit nature and can be put in your employee’s yard or your corporate headquarters;
- Digital photo scrapbook (issued after event);
- Trained first aid safety supervisors;
- All safety planning and personal protective equipment;
- Information on how your employees can engage further with NCC.

Group volunteering costs
Our corporate team builders start at $5,000 for 20 to 25 volunteers, with increased costs depending on type of activity, group needs and increased participant numbers. Maximum group sizes depend on event type.
Please note that our properties vary in distance from urban centres. We also have a very busy field season and cannot guarantee a project. We highly suggest contacting us between the fall and early spring for increased flexibility in dates and projects.
